Regardless of whether you’re placing your order online, by email or by phone – providing correct measurements is very important. Here are the two simple steps to help you get them right, every time.

Step 1. Check if your blind is going to fit inside or outside the recess

If your window is in a recess, then you have an option of fitting inside the recess, or you can fit just outside of the recess so the blind overlaps the window.
This helps to keep out more light and provides more insulation.

Step 2. Measuring your window

Tip: Measure your window with a metal tape measure and in millimetres or inches.

If you want your blind to fit into a recess

Measure the width in three places first, then the drop (also in three places). You call this a ‘recess size’, and when you order, you just need to give the smallest width and drop measurements. It is very important to give us the width first, then the drop.

If you want your blind to fit outside the recess

Measure the width first, then the drop. You are best allowing a minimum overlap on the width of the window of 75mm (3”) on either side of the blind. It is very important to give us the width first, then the drop. When ordering, you call this a ‘blind size’.
